Spelling Bee 2020

The FIRST place winners chose the appropriate name for their team! “Winners”
The SECOND place winners also chose an appropriate name. “The Defenders” as they were last year’s winners.
THIRD place and winners of the best costume went to “Spellbound”.
The best professional judges donations could buy.
The local Kiwanis club had several members on hand to assist wherever needed. Thank you!

And the spellers arrived for food and frolicking.
N2N Abilene board members and Kiwanis members worked together to get teams fed and seated.
One smart team came in a bus!
Teams all present, let the BEE begin!
Writing on the table (paper) was encouraged.
Even the first team “out” won a prize (Turkey chocolates!)

Neighbor to Neighbor – Abilene FUNdraiser Spelling Bee
(To support the Overhead Expenses)

WHEN:         Saturday, February 1, 2020

WHERE:       Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau
210 NW 2nd, Abilene, KS

TIME:           5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

COST:          *$10.00 per participant –all ages!

*includes meal: Homemade chili and cinnamon rolls, pickles, tea, or water.  Beer and wine by donation. (If you don’t want to spell, join us for yummy food, fun entertainment, and exciting raffles!)

We encourage you to enter your team of 2-6 members, ASAP!  If you don’t have a team but want to join in on the fun, we will help you find a team.

Cash Spelling Bee Prizes:                  Raffle Tickets:  $1 each or 6 for $5

1st Prize:            $120.00                       Passes:  3 for $25

2nd Prize:           $60.00 

3rd Prize:            $30.00
