Kris grew up in Manhattan, KS, and attended Kansas State and Oklahoma State University. He earned a degree in Management Information Systems. In 2007 Kris began his career in law enforcement which brought him to Abilene, KS. Kris is currently the School Resource Officer for USD 435. He was asked to join our board and learned about Neighbor to Neighbor Abilene’s core mission of helping families and individuals acquire the skills and knowledge to better their quality of life. He knew based upon his interactions with community members and his interactions in law enforcement this was something that was needed to help families in our community thrive. He believes that Neighbor to Neighbor Abilene can become a resource hub for all community organizations and can continue to assist families and individuals with acquiring the knowledge and skills needed. In addition to his law enforcement career and his board duties, Kris enjoys spending time visiting his adult children and likes to be outdoors.
