Leslie was born in Salina, KS. As part of a military family, she grew up all over the United States, as well as overseas. Leslie was a public school educator with Abilene USD 435 for 33 years. After retiring, she began to work as an IKEducator for the Eisenhower Foundation, teaching the children all about Dwight D. Eisenhower. Neighbor to Neighbor Abilene caught her attention before her retirement. She was excited to see a program directed to the needs of women. After her retirement, she was elated to join our board. She has been thrilled to watch the evolution of this organization. Her goals for Neighbor to Neighbor Abilene are to continue to be a resource for families and to continue strengthening our community. She is excited about our growing program as we work toward the sustainability of the organization. She believes having a working relationship between the board and the staff is vital to our continued success. Leslie loves to spend time with her family and friends either in person or via Zoom! She enjoys nurturing those relationships. She is a big television buff but enjoys a good book!
